Do arguments really solve any of our issues?

They usually end with teary eyes and tissue

We say our piece and the other will say theirs

When it’s all said and done no-one even cares

Bringing up the past and finding words to make one hurt

That’s never a good decision it only makes one feel like dirt

Getting off the subject and changing directions

No progress is made only a disconnection

We try to reason and our voices we will raise

Needless circles putting my head in a daze

Hours go by and there’s still no end in sight

I now know this will be a very long night

It’s now gotten personal and pointing blame

This is crazy; we should both be feeling shame

Now one wants to leave and just end it all

Its going nowhere, it’s now slowed to a crawl

This unnecessary argument has to come to a stop

Our lives are getting torn apart I’m ready to pop

Why do we even carry on if we can’t even agree?

Were both ready to give up how can that be?

We should just give up and go on our way

Let’s end this now before the light of day

This is a ridiculous argument that lasted all night

And to think, all over forgetting to turn off a light
