My Dark Cloud

There’s a dark cloud overhead


And my forecast calls for rain


This cloud, it hides the sun


From shining on my pain


This cloud is filled with lightning


Its thunder brings me fear


A cold wind blows upon me


Whenever it comes near


It’s always casting shadows


Refusing me the light


Which I need to find a path


From the stillness of its night


Its nature is relentless


Turning blue skies into grey


It hordes the stars above


As it takes my world away


There’s a dark cloud overhead


That I wish I never had


But what saddens me the most…


This dark cloud is my Dad.
