 | they soon pulled back into the driveway.
As soon as they pulled in, her moment was over and killed. Her father had to embarrass her by yelling at everyone in the truck for even thinking about riding in the tuck bed on Memorial weekend. He went on lecturing that we should have all known better because the Cops were out everywhere. He had Miss Average get in the car, and they headed home. She could not stop thinking about that incredible moment and how she couldn’t even say goodbye. All she had was a cell phone number that she used to text him saying how sorry she was for what her father had done.
Now Miss Average had this problem, she had a horrible disease. This disease effected her decisions a lot. It was in the back of her mind at all times. This disease is known as Doubt. She would always doubt that a guy would have interest in her. There was nothing good about her. So she doubted that anything in the back of that Chevy truck was even real. So she let Mr. Amazing know of this doubt and told him although, she did like him, she doubted it would work for several reasons. A major one being the distance, they lived an hour and a half away from each other.
They decided to just be friends. They talked a lot, online, on the phone, and texted. They tried to avoid any subject about the kiss so that it would not be awkward since they were just friends. Neither of them could hold it back anymore. Mr. Amazing had to know if Miss Average had felt anything during that kiss. She knew what she should say, but soon blurted out that it was the most incredible moment of her life and never wanted it to end. He immediately agreed and they soon confessed that they liked each other. Neither of them knew what it was but they just could not get that kiss out of there heads.
Not more than a month later while her family was on a vacation they got a call that Miss Average’s Grandfather’s cirrhosis of the liver had taken over, and he passed away. She loved her grandpa so much and was not ready for him to be gone. The whole family and friends of her grandpa were seated around the funeral home at the wake telling stories, crying, and laughing. Soon Mr. Amazing walked in the door with a big hug for Miss Average. This hug was well needed and she was so happy to see him, but sad that it took a funeral for her to finally get that hug that she longed for.
It was that day both of them realized although they had not seen each other much it was much more than a crush. They were in love. Of course, the parade had to be rained on and Miss Average’s Father realized how much they had been talking and for no apparent reason forbade them to see each other and wanted their talking to a minimum. They did not know what to do; they finally found that they both felt the same for each other but neither of them could do anything about it. They missed each other and longed to be together but knew it was not possible... | |
