 | When I was in 10th grade, I took a Creative Writing course. We had to write a poem about what we wanted to be when we grew up. I've always wanted to be a model, but was always unsure of the profession. When I was in 12th grade, I took another Creative Writing course. The teacher gave us an assignment. All we had to do was bring poems from home and submit them to a publishing company. The company was Creative Communications, and this poem was published in their Winter 2007 book!!
Written November 3, 2004:
Beauty, grace, talent. They have it all, Why can't I?
To go down the runway, And have people look up to me Would be a dream come true.
The perfect body that everybody wants. The money, the fame, the fans. They have it all, Why can't I?
To be known by millions, My face, my name. Is that oo much to ask?
Then again, to have it all Sometimes means You have no life at all.
Sure, people everywhere know Your face, your name. But sometimes, I think I would rather have nothing, Than everything.
People following you day after day, Asking if you are "so and so" More than likely, It gets old.
Having my friends and family Care about me Day after day. Well, that's just okay. And I tell you what, That's a dream come true.
