I lay awake at night
missing you.
Wishing I were
kissing you.
But some dreams just don't come true
I learned that by
missing you.

And even though
tomorrow I know
you'll hold me tight.
You'll say baby I missed you
I'll say I dreamt of you last night.
And we'll hug
and we'll kiss
maybe sneak off somewhere
for a bit more than this,
but for now it's you I miss.

Yea I lay awake tonight
missing you
wishing I were
kissing you
but tonight it can't come true,
so I'll just lie here
missing you
