LOVE'S PRAYER

Love
I come to you humbly with this prayer
That you will heal all my wounds
all the hurt and all the despair
Love
I often wonder how you can ignore
the many times I have said in anguish
that things would be different than before
Love
even when I was beaten and I was broken
you bandaged my heart and nursed my soul
with a kindness that was unspoken
Love
even when I was overly dramatic and emotional
you listened intently never judging
giving me your patience unconditional
Love
I cant expect for you to believe
that I have changed and wont take for granted
all of your blessings that I've received
Love
I thank you for giving me another chance
to cherish your grace and bask in your mercy
and be made whole by your influence
Love
I come to you in my darkness hour
accepting the consequences that judgment brings
yet feeling you heal me with your power
Love
I thank you for listening to this plea
I thank you for your charity,your grace,your hope
I thank you for still believing in me.
