I did that once. I love a girl named Cindy...but I realized it too late and we had drifted apart. I was so sad. I grabbed every photo I had of her and me and I took them down to a lake when nobody was around and burnt them and cried my eyes out. But later I regretted it becuase I realized love isn't like that...I still loved her but I knew I had to leave thought of her behind. One day while cleaning up I found two photos of her and I'm glad I did. Time will come when you'll be at peace with things and you won't feel so much pain. But right now I know how you feel and it really is one of the hardest things in life.
Its not necessary to burn those photos. If there are some you haven't thrown in the fire...save them....just tuck them away. Knowing the fragile nature of love makes us better people in the end and there will be some good that comes of it. If you're religious...its a good time to reconnect with your faith. Be kind to others and your family ....that helps too. Don't get in a rebound relationship....just chill for a long while. Nice poem....full of emotion and feeling. The guy wasn't too bright to make that mistake with someone that really cared for him so much. He's the loser....not you. Certainly not you.....it just feels so now.

I know that pain all to much...it really hurts when something like that happens.
