	I waited and waited and waited some more, I thought and I pondered and I prayed from the floor, I wanted and wondered and wished for the time I traveled back in my past when you were still mine. Millions of I times I would think and remember, About our last days near the end of December. When we were still one only divided by land Yet I could still love you with the stroke of my hand. I missed you so much as I left you back there And I was away for too long would you care? In my mind I thought I’d make everything better So I sat down one night and wrote you a letter. It gave freedom to you to do as you please To take on the world and take care of you needs I had only one hope that upon my return That none of our love or bridges were burned I found out one evening from many miles away If I turned to the west, smoke blowing my way. You had taken my letter as the ultimate goodbye I never was offered the chance to ask why I left you alone to begin your new life I left you alone to be another mans wife You left me alone because of my ways I left you alone for thousands of days Now I’m waiting and waiting and waiting some more, I think and I ponder and I pray from the floor, I want and wonder and wish for this time As I traveled forward again found you were still mine.
