I tried and tried

I gave all I could have gave
I tried and tried
And from this experience
I've learned to no one will I ever confide


I opened my heart to you
When I knew I shouldn't had let down my guard
I let you in to only find
My heart left severely scarred


I was so strong
I was so secure
Not a scratch on my heart
Until you I endured


Such heart ache I thought I'd never know
Such trauma done to ones own being
My spirit weakened and in anguish
A feeling that is affecting my well being
