Seldom does a day pass by,
When I see you in my mind's eye.
Sexy eyes and shining hair,
Graceful hands, full of care.

I always like to hear your voice,
A little cool, you've made a choice.
But to know you're smiling, makes me glad,
It reminds me of happy times we had.

There is no reason to the things that we do,
We can break a trust, with just a word or two.
It could take a lifetime to apologise,
To bring back the bond, when a feeling dies.

No grey areas, only black or white,
Two definite answers, wrong or right.
But humans being what we are,
Failings make perfection impossible by far.

And so as time ticks swiftly away,
Our lives will pass in a different way.
A legacy each to the other gave,
Strengths and principles to make us brave.
