I called you tonight with a few things I wanted to say,
--Some things I regret to this day...

I called you tonight to let you know I was thinking about you,
--Hoping that you would be thinking of me too...

I called you tonight and found out that I was wrong,
--Found out you didn't like me all along...

I called you tonight to hear the sound of your voice,
--Remembering our past, you left me no choice...

I called you tonight to tell you I love you,
--But quickly remembered you loved someone new...

I called you tonight to tell you I'm heartbroken,
--But some of my words are better off unspoken...

I called you tonight to tell you I can't find anyone new,
--The only one that brings me happiness…is you...
