Would you paint the sky -
A forever and beautiful sunset
Would a dozen roses
Every day you leave
Would you write a letter
For them one a day they could read?
Would you profess your love on the radio?
Or perhaps on t.v?
Would you knock on their door
And everyday plead -
Would you write a song -
Or would you simply move on?
Would you learn to say "I love you"
   in every foreign tongue?
Would you make a list
   of all the reasons why
   you can't live without them in your life.
Would you draw on their driveway with chalk
Or would you on with your life wallk?
Would you paint on a billboard sign?
   Paint that your love for them is one that will last for all time.
Would you handpick flowers
    That are gorgeously in bloom -
Would you compose a CD -
   Of all the songs that remind you of them -
Would you confess your undying love
   Perhaps in the newspaper?
Would you pay a pilot
   To announce your love to the world in the sky...
Would you let them go -
   Even if it was something they did choose
   Or would you go out of your way to show them
   That they should stay -
   Because your love will never sway.
