Hatred

When one is full of hatred
They feel totally justified in it
They feel their wish to destroy and punish
They feel it puslsate in every fiber
As they grind their teeth and seethe
And the feeling escalates
And dosn't leave
Dagger up their sleeve
From morning until eve
The feeling escalates
And takes over sane thought
Darkens everything
And forms a black hole
In the heart they left broken or stole
you feel turmoil
and your blood aboil
but your victim is your foil
you wish to scald and burn
in your cauldron of hot hateful oil
All the light goes out
You only scoff and pout
Forgetting what life is about
As profanity you scream and shout
In the vengance that you tout
Becaue you don't wish to bear the pain
and let them get away with sin
Instead of striving to forgive
You let hatred in
But at this very minute
That you're in it
you somehow cannot see
with clarity
that you've let it win
It's taken who you are
It's taken who you could be
But you don't realize
The cost or it's severity
But you cannot live
You cannot be free
as long as hatred
consumes and won't let you be
Someone mentions God
and you say you don't blelieve
but God is there to love you
and won't ever leave
But you need him now
And you've got to unerstand
He's given you freewill
You've got to reach for his hand
And the moment you do
He'll rally around you
And show you light
And see you through
Though you've blamed him too
he'll guide you to forgiveness
And help you find the real you
the one you somehow lost
before your heart froze in the great frost
before you realized the truth
Of hatred's cost
Only when you're born anew
Will you begin again to find the real you
The one you have lost
Before you choose consider this:
Love and Hatred cannot coexist
By choosing one
The other you will miss

...How i wish all people in earth must embrace with love....and let hatred passes by just one minute then replace again by love and acceptance...how i wish.....

Thank you!
I put it here not as a lecture or anything...just hoping to help someone sort through their emotions. I'm happy you liked it.

Thanks for the nice compliments. Bramin, if you're suggesting I'm unsophisticated....I may have to agree. I have a lot of Huck Finn in me. Really, I think I know what you're saying and it's actually an encouraging compliment. Wouldn't we all like to get back to our childhood innocence.....like the very first kiss....or maybe the first time riding a bike? Well, I am trying to get back to that and I am. I had to dig deep but I'm finding "me" again...a me I'd forgotten. But I'll say that anything I'm finding comes back to one thing: Care
We've got to find that care in us that goes beyond ourselves. We're not really so impoartant after all...though our egos like to think we are. We're all bound to be turned back into dust eventually.

Really, we can do little about others. But what we can do is make ourselves into who we want to be as people. We might face hatred..yet we might learn how to forgive. We might wish to be loved ...we might not find that...yet we can still love. You can't get caught up in the unfairness of life. My son used to wrestle and we used to watch parents and children take tantrums when the ref got a call wrong. I said to him.....in life, you're going to get some good calls and some bad calls (true in all sports).....accept them! Why? Because they even out over time. In the moment it's hard...but life goes on.

I'm going to post a wonderful Native American indian story I read that very simply says so much.
