Halloween Night

Don't go out on Halloween Night.
Stay in your bed and keep on the light.
There be little demons and ghouls who have fun all right,
outside on the streets this Haloween Night.

You don't want to know what mischief they cause.
On Halloween Eve they run without pause,
flying and laughing, and breaking all kinds of laws,
you really don't want to see the mischief they cause.

Please heed my words, stay under the covers,
and tell your friends, sisters, and of course, your brothers.
Stay in bed; don't even peek through the shutters,
because a goblin or a ghost may spook you to stutters.

Keep to your room with a cheerful thought,
You'll appreciate Rover with his cherry eyes and snout,
Sleep all tucked in so you can dream about
Those treats that will ben given out after this Halloween Bout'

Just wait until daybreak on Halloween Day,
when you know all the ghouls and ghosts are away.
They had the daylight, "it's no fun," they say.
So just please wait to Trick or Treat on Halloween Day.
