HELPLESS

Will those of the past
soon fade away
or will they continue
to torment my dreams

The faces invade my mind
closing me off from reality
my world has gone away
leaving me in a demented state

Then those come forward
to protect me from insanity
playing out my life
while I am forced to watch from within

Unable to control their actions
as they try to protect my mind
and yet ruin my life in one swift movement

I beg for control
but to no avail
so I fall into a slumber
and face the consequence's
when I am allowed to wake
bad
