 | When I was in 10th grade, I took a Creative Writing course. We had to write something we remembered from our childhood. When I was younger, I took a few years of Gymnastics.
Written November 1, 2004:
All eyes on me, I couldn't get nervous or scared. I could've gotten sick, I don't think I cared.
Run down the floor, Do a flip, Don't forget the somersault, With a twist added for more points. Sound easy? Not really.
Just take a deep breath, Do your best. You can do this.
I run down the blue flooring, Being careful not to trip. If I land the wrong way, I could break a hip.
Having this in mind, I took my best shot. I did a flip and a tuck, But it didn't come out so hot.
I landed sideways, Everyone laughing...pointing. I run up and cry to my mom, And complain of a stomachache.
All my practicing Gone down the drain. I have failed my team. I have failed me.
