Father

You were there for me when I was born
When my eyes first opened you were happy
I am glad to have a Father like you in my life
You taught me to be patient and understanding
How I learned to gain wisdom from your teachings
Many times I wanted to give up it was so hard for me
But I knew you wouldn't let me give up on myself
Once you told me just keep going and never fall to the pit
I will not fail what I must do for your words encourage me to go on
Father my heart is strong and I will make you proud this I promise you.
