The Face Of An Angel

The face of an angel, is all that is here,
One fallen soldier, with one fallen tear,
Tried to be his best, being all that he could be,
Now we lay him down to rest, now everyone can see,
He saved a mans life, without being afraid,
A job that can now, never be repaid,
He was a hero standing proud and strong,
And now we stand at his funeral,
A place no soldier should ever belong,
As I close my eyes, as these days past by,
And I’ll wipe away a tear, and try not to cry,
Because the face of an angel will always be near,
Just one fallen soldier, with nothing to fear.

this one is in memory for Sargent Jesse Lhotka who died in Iraq in 2003
