Angels are persons sent from above,
To come to earth and teach us love.
They come in different forms and hues,
They pull you up when you got no clue.

Once in my life, I met someone,
My very own angel, I thought he's the one.
He came along when things were just wrong,
He took my hand and pulled me along.

He was close to perfect, just too good to be true,
He cheers me up when I'm feeling blue.
He soothes my ruffled feathers when I'm mad,
And tries to be there when things just gets bad.

You taught me to laugh, and smile and cheer up,
And help to put my bad habits to a stop.
You mended my broken heart for me,
You gave me wings to fly and break free.

You promise to stay here by my side,
That we'll only part when You or I died.
But then promises are not always kept,
You piled them high in a heap.

Promises are made to be broken later,
They are just made to make someone feel better,
I just never thought I'll get this one amissed,
That even an angel can break his promise.
