I dream about the day that i will meet you. . . . .
walking beside you through a field of wheat, 
my shoes in my hand. 
We talk as if weve known each other forever,
you tell me your hopes and dreams,
I tell you about my past and how ive been hurt.
You smile, that cute crooked smile,
as you run your hand through your curly brown hair.
"What?" I ask, not knowing what your answer will be.
You tell me you cant see how such a beautiful girl could
ever have had her heart broken.
I blush, looking away. . . . we near the house. . . outside your
parents are standing, waiting for us to return. . . waiting to take you back home.
I can't believe it, ive just me you, and now our leaving so soon. 
As we near the house, you shyly touch my hand, and then place your hand in mine,
entwining your fingers ever so gently in mine.
You smile down at me, a slight redness creeping acroos your cheeks.
"I wish you didn't have to go so soon, we've only just met."  You smile and laugh,
"I'll be back. . . don't you fret your pretty little head about that."

You embrace me, the warmth of your arms ever so comforting. after a long goodbye,
you finally walk away.  I watch as you and your parents climb into your car and drive off
into the horizon.  standing there, my shoes still in my hand, a warmth creeps into my heart,
a feeling I haven't felt in quite sometime.  who knows, maybe this could be the start of something
special. . . . or just the dreams of a girl longing for love. .
