Dreams Are For Ever(yone who seeks reality)
Starts out with a smile
then a sweet "hello"
Getting to know the other
so into it, you don't want to leave; don't want to go
The other seems so ... perfect
too, in fact... perhaps surreal?
Hugs are temporary
but they mean something real
Then comes the sweet kiss
soft and gentle; loving
Then the "holding each other"
so soothing
Warmth in the fact that you might have something
And the kisses get longer
Heat and magic
as the kissing becomes stronger
Butterflies making your stomach turn with pleasure
Knees get weak from the sudden trembles
Then, it's gone.
You wake with a start and the earth crumbles.
But, you see you've awaken to such a scene:
The other is holding you
Sleeping with arms wrapped around your waist
Your mind whirls, "...can it be true?"
"This dream of mine is real?"
You touch the other's face
gently, sofly; you don't want to disturb your perfect dream
You don't want to wake, ever, from this place
The dream opens their eyes, slowly
Then, the smile... the perfect smile
"too perfect... too short a time"
Reality sets in; you both have to leave each other, for a little while
Reality and dreams
both entwined
like the fingers of your hands, put together
"Good-bye for now. Our lives, together twined." |
