Dreaming of Goodbye

I looked outside with not knowing why
I saw your face and started to cry
You’re the one who stole my heart
You ripped it up and tore it apart
Now you come back to be my friend
I’m sorry but this is the end
Thank you for bringing my heart to me
But its time to let it be
You see my son in the yellow vest
He is how I know I’m blest
And in me there is new life
And I’m happy to say I’m a wife
Now it’s time to let go of you
Because my son and soon a daughter too
And now that my life is on track
Please leave and never come back
If this was true and you were at my door
I would just be happy to see you once more
I would have to tell you what’s true
And that is that I still love you
You’re not here to see me cry
Or hear me say goodbye
