Instead of Orange upgrade Books who reduces stats on fail, the "item can be destroyed warning" on orange scrolls don"t mean the durability is set to 0 BUT the item is removed from your inventory .

So my advice is :

1. Never use orange upgrade scrolls except if you doesn't matter about your stuff.

2. Only use orange upgrade books

3. I've lost a 4slotted tradable plat wand in this case and some valuable items to get another back from somebody else.
