It was the first day and my intentions were to get use to my new surroundings. Everything was new and I had no clue to where anything was. People were passing in every direction. Everybody was talking and I couldn’t hear much. I then saw a friend and walked over to her. I greeted her and by her reaction I could tell she was excited to see me. For the next five minutes she showed me around a little bit. And then brought me to another section of the building where my all day class took place.
On our way back to the main building people were passing and teachers were coming and going. We sat down on the bench dividing the two buildings. Soon I saw my instructor coming down the hall. My friend and I were talking and I look up for a second and see this guy running up to give my instructor a hug. I laugh cause  he gives a little hop in the air as he goes to give a hug. They hug and the guy comes in to the part of the building my friend and I are sitting in. I looked at him as he passed and we make eye contact but only for a second. I notice his hat which I dig right away. The silver 3D city stitched to the black hat caught my eye right away. I don’t think much of it and then the bell rings and it’s time to start the first day.
I was nervous because it was a new school but I saw a lot of people I knew from middle school. A week went by and every morning my friend Mel and I would sit in the lobby and talk till the bell rang. She introduced my to people as days went by. But the only person I looked forward to seeing every morning once Mel introduced us was that guy I was telling you about. His names Jesse Smith and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to meet at that school. So the days went by were I was only looking forward to morning time which was only about ten minutes to see Jesse.
Every morning we’d talk and sit next to each other and get to know one another more. I always hated the sound of that bell ringing and having to leave him and not be able to see him till the fallowing morning. I was really feeling Jesse, feeling his style, and his kindness .When the bell did ring I think he’d try and play it off like he didn’t really like me that much and hide it by a high five but I wasn’t going to have that, so each time I went for hug and got it.
My schedule soon changed where I needed to walk down town every Thursday. The day soon came where I asked Jesse what he was doing after school on that Thursday. He told me he had to work at three. I thought to myself that’s perfect because we’ll definitely make it to town before three. He agreed to walk down town with me. I couldn’t have been more excited. Our walk down was good and I enjoyed talking with him. Before we had to say goodbye he gave me his number. I told Jesse I would try and call him. I didn’t say this because I didn’t want to call him, it was just where I was living I couldn’t use the phone and I didn’t want him to think I wasn’t feeling him because I was.
The next day I used a friends phone and left him a message on his cell phone. I couldn’t just leave him hanging. That weekend I got a trac fone quick from Mel so that I could call Jesse. We got back to school that weekend and Jesse tells me that his weekend didn’t go very well and he left home for a little while. I gave him the number to my new trac fone and told him I'd  see him at the end of the day. We met up at 2:30pm in the lobby and we walked toward my bus. Before we got to my bus Jesse stops me and tells me that he really likes me and would like me to be his girlfriend. I don’t have to think long about this question for this is what I have wanted. I instantly say yes with a big smile on my face. He gives me a peck on the lips and I get on the bus.
Our relationship grew more as a month went by and things were happening in my life where I couldn't handle living where I was living so I decided to leave. Jesse helped me a lot threw that hard time. I soon turned myself in and I started living with Jesse and his family. I felt like I was the happiest person on earth. Jesse gave me a family that is true to one another and isn't going to back stab you the first chance they get. Because of the help from Jesse and his family we have shared birthdays, holidays, and family days with each other and growing up I didn't have that very often.
Jesse and I share everything with one another. It wasn't always like that, I had a hard time telling him everything and this has made things hard at some points. But since we've passed through those obstacles we are ready to move forward. We buy things for each other and cut everything down the middle when we can. We let each other be who we are as much as  we can as long it doesn't hurt the other person. That's the way it should be when you love one another. I can't express enough how much I love the devotion that Jesse has when he wants or loves something. When he wants to do something even if it's a pain in the ass he does it and gets it done. We both love music but Jesse loves it enough for the both of us.  He wants to be a rapper and from the readings of his raps I believe he can really do it. I support him in what he wants to do as he supports me in anything I feel I want as well.
I have discovered my soul mate that's all there is to it. People can laugh and say how do you know who your soul mate is but all I can say to that is I just know from all I've felt over these twelve months. I am in love with the family I'm with and couldn't ask for anyone better. I don't need anything better because there's so much more that I'm looking forward to with Jesse that i would be an idiot to let it go for something that can always be fixed.
