Devotion and Desire

Inside your eyes I see obligation.
My mouth,
I blame.
You’re the only one I’ve ever known.
How could I not recognize,
The spark.
The smile.
The fire.
That set it off.
I just wanted to get out of my shell.
Hit the barrier and break it open.
How was I to know,
I’d get wounded in the midst.
I didn’t expect this to happen.
Luxury at its finest.
Demons unannounced pronounce themselves.
They are uplifting and relieving.
It isn’t as hard as it seems.
Yet I’m bleeding.
This proves it.
Everything you said was just based on lies.
I turn away and get the matches.
Let us burn it down.
The castle walls.
The thing that separates you from me.
The exterior.
You’re not ready though.
All the deception is killing you.
You can’t go on.
You’ve hit rock bottom.
Apologies drop and hit the floor with a splash.
And with this I know I’m wanted.
I know you love me.
