Colour Talk.

When I colour you in midnight black,
I know to stay quietly back.
Your mind in a state of depression,
You are not open to mental suggestion.

When I colour you in icy blue,
You are as cold as the morning dew.
The kisses we exchange are often few,
And I feel like meeting someone new.

When I colour you in vibrant red,
It must be something silly I said.
That gives you cause to shake your head,
And quietly disappear to bed.

When I colour you in velvet green,
You are so peaceful and serene.
You are an elegant dancing Queen,
A sparkling jewel of the silver screen.

When I colour you in virgin white,
So pure and shining bright,
You remind me of the driven snow,
With an ethereal vibrant glow.

When I colour you in pastel yellow,
Your tough exterior will slightly mellow.
Inhibitions melt, you're ready for fun,
You like to be loved by everyone.

And when I colour you like Joseph's coat,
Your happiest colours to the top will float.
Your darkest colours will only appear,
When your thoughts and deeds become unclear.

Reading your works just makes me want to grab my guitar and attempt to set them into music. With your permission of course, if that's alright with you. :)

Hi Gil,

No problem, I'd be delighted if you could set my words to music. When completed, if possible, please send finished piece(s) in MP3 format. It's a great pity Lovelandia has ceased to provide this service as I enjoyed the tracks you were uploading.

Thanks for your thoughts and kind encouragement - the magic is in books and the power is in the mind. The problem is trying to put the two together.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't.
John.
