Black was black
And white was white

Inside dark
And outside bright

I was happy
Everything alright

Before today:

I thought poems always rhymed
And the sky always blue

I thought pain was only physical
And all words were true

I thought sorry solved everything
But it seems I didn’t have a clue

I loved you
