![]() | Depression is a slippery slope. You make it through one day and fall again the next. But there is much to live for and we can most see that in others. There may be many shallow and unkind people but the occasional exception reminds us that there is something to feel positive about. In my very darkest days I found these two passages from the bible most comforting and uplifting: Romans 12: 5 - 16 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; he who teaches, in his teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who contributes, in liberality; he who gives aid, with zeal; he who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. 9 Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; 10 love one another with brotherly affection; outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Never flag in zeal, be aglow with the Spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; never be conceited ......... And this....the 23rd Psalm: The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever. .... I hope these provide some comfort and guidance for you. There is no shame in hurting or for going through hard times. | ![]()

![]() | Let me just say that I can relate. The way out begins with little things like gratitude for blessings overlooked, acceptance of life on life's terms. Emotions shape reality and although it is really hard at first always and I mean always focus on the positive no matter how insignificant it may seem. Don't rest until you can find something positive in even the worst situation and go with it. Practice this constantly and with patience as it takes some time to rid yourself of the built up negitivity but in time you will be shifting your focus from the negitive towards the positive and when you get there you will know it was worth the struggle. In doing this you are reaching for the light with every choice and you cannot not get there. Perhaps and this is just a thought, this struggle is the path to your purpose and you will never know unless you pursue it. There are reasons that you feel as you do and you need to get answers Start asking questions and the answers will come and you can have faith in that. It might sound contrite but I have been there and now I am no longer and I Thank God for that and it is in the transformation itself that I found him. There are amazing things waiting for you to discover them and all you have to do is believe and keep believing regardless of what is happenning around you. I wish you well and although we are strangers you need to know that you are loved. God Bless. | ![]()

![]() | I agree with Nuvo. I feel same but I know I have to wake up everyday say it is a new day and begin with a smile. I have two little pups Niko and Kandi that I love very much and they keep me going everyday and through the rough days and lonely times. I have learned to accept life for what it is and what god has given me and take the bad with the good. For every frown that comes upon my face, I would look at Niko and Kandi and so glad that they are in my life. So what I am trying to say find an outlet or something that will keep you content in everyday life and maybe consider getting a dog......NOte you are not alone..... wake up with a smile on your face, consider today a new beginning, new life, new momment & new day! | ![]()

![]() | What a poem !! Those dark days do come and seems as if they will never end, but know that your expression through these poems, though it be painful to read, is a gift and God's way of allowing release of despair. No one knows how dark anothers pain is until they themselves are torn in what seems like a million pieces. Whatever your pain may be, I pray right now that God softly soothe it and that one day you are writing about the love & healing He provided... Take Care, and let those feelings out. | ![]()
