A Long summer day and a peaceful night

The air so warm as she holds me tight

Her breath caresses my skin so sweet

A re-occurring dream, we finally meet

I hold her tight, and care so much

Only yesterday I dreamed we’d touch

A dream that made me want her so

Now that she’s here I can’t let go

Skin so smooth, and one heavenly kiss

Our Lips meet, a heart beat we miss

It’s a summer’s dream that has come true

Now my days and nights are no longer blue

She casts a spell on my beating heart

A spell which says this is just a start

If I’m still dreaming, hope I never wake

Its true feelings for granted I not take

You only feel what is true inside

But it does no justice pushed aside

She needs to know just how I feel

I have to ask her if this is real

Sleeping so gracefully, I stroke her hair

Ever so gently, letting her know I care

Two hearts beating together as if one

Please don’t tell me my dream is done

I won’t wake her from peaceful calm

But if I did would that be wrong

Only to tell her she has my respect

Her returning true love, all I expect

I caress her softly while she sleep

This is one memory ill always keep

Will she let us make many more?

Does she wake and close the door?

I fall asleep, with heavy eyes

So peaceful hearing her sighs

Just one night has so much meaning

I pray tonight that I’m not dreaming
