I close my eyes once again,
Waiting for the sounds to come,
Waiting for the icy cold touch,
That resonates from your breath.

I draw my legs back,
Trying to find that small safe place,
To curl into to protect,
Those feelings left so raw and unexpressed.

Not for long, that's all I can think,
I'll soon be out of this miserable game,
Am I a pawn, designed to entertain,
Those around with my pain.

Those tears I cry,
They drop so silent,
To wail and to moan,
