At whose heart strings do you gently tug,
When nothing seems to go your way,
And you've had, one terrible day?

At whose door do you gently knock?
Who is your all knowing solid rock,
When from under your feet your support is torn,
And a path to their heart you've gently worn?

In whose ear can you be discreet,
Where the trust they show is always complete?
No suspicions do you have of their true intent,
Just love and empathy, earnestly meant.

In whose eye do you look for a sign,
When along the way you crossed the line,
That divides true honesty from contemptible lies,
And the respect you treasure, withers and dies?

Through the rough times or when life's fun,
There is no other to whom you'll run.
You'll always be their precious one,
Loved and cherished whatever you've done.
