 | She looks in the mirror and what does she see?
A broken girl whose been hurt deeply.
Her smile has disappeared,
And her heart and soul has become so fragile and sheer.
She thinks of what used to be,
And she remembers when they were happy.
But now they’re over and they are through,
She doesn’t want to face it but she knows that it’s true.
They were so young and in love like no one would ever believe,
So it was a shocker when he wanted to leave.
She closes her eyes as a tear runs down her face,
And remembers when he filled her life with grace.
The way he held her in his arms,
She knew that she was safe from all the harms.
He used to be her security and her protector,
Now he just wants to forget her.
She can feel her heart breaking as each second goes by,
Occasionally when no one is around she’ll just break down and cry.
It’s so hard to accept that their life together has come to an end,
He was her everything and her best friend.
She feels like she can’t talk about it to anybody,
All she knows is that she needs somebody.
But her somebody is not around,
So what she needs cannot be found.
At first she didn’t care as if it wasn’t a big deal,
But she didn’t pay attention to how she really did feel.
Now all she wants to do is talk and figure out what is really going on,
Although she’s afraid to know the truth that everything could really be gone.
I know this broken girl who’s been hurt very deeply,
