Fulfilling the role of the joke of the day
And all that really matters anymore
Is searching for the life we let slip through the door
Once open to a world of imagery
Now lies empty in hopes of being filled with dreams
Of a better life; a paradise
A place to get away and watch the world fly by
What happened to the rest of me
The lost part of me that I've been searching for
The clear waters flow beneath me
And my own reflection won't look me in the eye
