Nobody Would Share With Me

I can remember when no-one would share with me,
They hated me and bullied me.
I even wished that I was a tree.
Trees are calm,
They don’t get bullied.
They don’t do any harm,
They don’t have feelings and they don’t bleed.
I wanted to get away from them,
I wanted to run far away.
To a land where I could play.
A land where I would play and not have any worries.
I wouldn’t have to hurry.
I wanted to be a butterfly.
Fly to away from here,
If I was a butterfly I wouldn’t have to cry.
I would just fly away to the time-less land.
Where I would find my best friends hand.
I remember nobody shared with me,
I wanted to be an immigrant and flee.
Nobody shared with me so I would say:
"Please can I play with that?"
"No", they would always say.
Laughing at me and running away.
Saying that I would turn them into stone,
If I looked at them.
I wanted to run all the way to Rome.
It would then be my home.
Nobody shared with me,
Then something happened.
I saw a girl across the way,
Standing all alone.
So I wondered over there,
And asked her to my home.
We became best friends that day.
We would always share,
We would always care.
She was there for me,
And I was there for her.
She was there for me,
When nobody shared with me.
