Mariah: I have someone on my mind

Mike: he pecks at it like birds

Mariah: but everything is falling behind

Mike: and he makes mush out of my words

Mariah: when I try to speak to him

Mike: he turns and walks away

Mariah: I feel like I know him

Mike: but there's nothing I can say

Mariah: he doesn't even notice me

Mike: he doesnt even care

Mariah: I feel like I am a tree

Mariah: he doesn't even know I'm there


Mike: she doesnt really know it

Mariah she doesn't know what to say

Mike: all she does is think of him

Mariah: but he's just in the way



Mariah: she wants him to care

Mariah: he doesn't notice

Mariah: she doesn't think it's fair

Mariah: but he still doesn't notice

Mariah: when she speaks

Mike: he doesnt hear her

Mike: when she tries

Mike: he deasnt know

Mike: it hurts

Mike: when he gets near her

Mariah: she thinks of him when it snows

Mike): he hopes she doesnt notice

Mike: that there's more there than like

Mike: he doesn't think she can realize

Mike: she's stolen the heart of mike



Mariah: she would never admit it

Mariah: she'd never say

Mariah: she'd never think

Mariah: she'd feel this way

Mariah: but as time passes

Mariah: we all change

Mariah: and now she knows

Mariah: what to say

Mariah: everytime we speak

Mariah: everything we say

Mariah: nothing could be wrong

Mariah: with what we do today

Mariah: everything we feel

Mariah: every single way

Mariah: it is real

Mariah: and it won't go away

Mariah: but yes it wont last

Mariah: I am sorry to say

Mariah: the things we feel

Mariah: wont go away

Mariah: but we'll never act

Mariah: on what we say

mariah: you love people

Mariah: for different reasons

Mariah: but you can only choose one

Mariah: one person for you

Mariah: onee person for good

Mariah: someone who is always there

Mariah: someone who will always care

Mariah: nothing can change the things we feel

Mariah: nothing can take that away

Mariah: but it's him

Mariah: him who I have to choose

Mariah: and it is you

Mariah: who I have to lose



Mike: some one locked my heart in jail

Mike: they laughed and swallowed the key

Mike: but you musn't shed a single tear

Mike: for one day it will be free.
