	I met him in my senior year of high school. First semester we had 2 classes together. Second semester we had three. I had a crush on him from the first time I saw him. He was the shy type, so I'm the one that initiated our friendship.Soon enough our friends started telling us that we liked eachother. One night, I went out on a limb and I told him how I felt about him in an e mail, and turns out that he felt the same way too. We started being a couple soon after that, and its been the best 7 months ever. my parents have been against our relationship from the time they found out. Especially my dad. Only because of two things. He's catholic, i'm not. and he's mexican. i'm black. but we dont care. we dont care at all. I have fought my parents so much for this relationship. My mom has started to give in. But my dad doesn't talk about it. Right now he's in san diego training to be a marine. It'll be 3 months till I see him, but I'm waiting for him. I know how it is.. I met my man in my senior year of high school as well.. he already got trough basic took the 10 days leave and now is at he school learnin some stuff.. Girl it works out
Go to the graduation -- it is an amazing experience

I think it is great that you really like this guy even though he is another race and another religion. You should let your dad know how much he means to you, and how much you care about him. Maybe it will be tough for your dad to get over those issues. Show your parents how happy he makes you.
