Here I am today

Here I am today,
To tell you about something
I'll tell you through a poem
As I can't find a suitable song to sing
This is how I feel
From the very very beginning
When I first saw you
I felt the world stopped spinning

Your smile is so charming
It really melts my heart
You made me forget all the hurting
When I'm close with you from the start

You would be there to cheer me up
My life has all been in a cup
Whenever I'm feeling down
You will tell me not to frown

You treated me so well,
Just the way it should be
You were always there by my side
No matter what happens to me

When I needed your help
You were there to lend me a hand
Guiding me patiently
When I couldn't understand

You are never out of my mind it's true
Not even an hour, a minute or two
I'll always be here for you too
No matter what happens to you

I've been seeking a chance to tell
But it never seems to go well
I am not sure where I'm at
Is it friends and just that?

One more thing I'd like to say
Before I end my poem today
Just a simple happy birthday
For someone special I'd say.
