She is a mirror

She has no personality
No depth, no fulfilment
She is dead on the inside
Her heart has run cold
She has become a shell
Without a soul
She reflects the world
She sees around her
She is a mirror
In all respects
I am a fool, of that I'm sure
I am narcissus reincarnated
I fell in love with a mirror
My own stupid reflection

I loved it and it loved me
It was sad when I was sad
It was happy when I was happy
If only I knew she was a mirror
She never showed me any different
Then what I wanted to see
And now I pay my respects
She is dead now
Of that I'm sure
She killed herself yesterday

With her death on my mind
On my heart and on my shoulders
My life has come crashing down
She got her last say, her only say

God bless that poor little shard
The only broken part of the soul
