Pulling the Trigger

Pulling the trigger holding your breath
Feeling the pressure built up in your chest
A sadness deep beneath your skin
That’s telling you... you didn't win
He might be gone, and now your safe...
If it wasn't you someone was gonna put him in place.

Pulling the trigger feeling a pain
By shooting him... safety is what you gained
But what about his family that will cry over him for a long time
But it was his life... or mine

Pulling the trigger watch him drop dead
Watching the blood fall from his head
You did it... you killed him in self defense
But still the pain feels amens
Weighing down your shoulders making tears drip from your face
You were both at the wrong time... in the wrong place

Pulling the trigger last chance to live
Shooting him... a life to heaven you'll give
As a sparkle in his eye and a long sigh
Before his eyes close and he sais goodbye

Pulling the trigger on a bad evil boy
Pulling the trigger like it was a toy
Knowing you had to, wishing you didn't
For him... his life is finished

Tears will run in your heart forever
Never making life better
You shot him because you had to but the pain still stays
Still stays and never goes away
Because you shot his heart and his families heart too
And it's a shame that's what you had to do...
