 | Alicia Silverstone born 1976. As if in revenge for her calm and even-tempered character Alicia always gets to play roles of surprisingly stubborn and capricious women. And she does it as diligently and cool as she acts in real life.As long as producers, working with Alicia are males, there comes some doubt that thus they want actress to see her true personality for her total ignorance towards them. However, these roles along with her angelic look add more charm to the actress and boost her popularity.
Despite her breathtaking success, Alicia Silverstone remains the same she was in her childhood – obedient child. She was born in San-Francisco in a middle class family. Her father is a real estate salesman and her mother is a stewardess. The girl was modest and very quiet and her parents couldn’t be happier having the child. Though she wasn’t a gifted girl at school, she thought the fact that she was studying is more than enough. In her spare time the girl was playing toys, treated herself with her favorite apricot jam and sat home which only inspired passionate feelings of classmates for her.
Even now she is true to her habits: she loves toys, apricot jam and spends most of her time at home, especially when she’s not in the film shooting process. She is incredibly beautiful but at the same time she’s infantile and dreamy. Due to her beauty she got into the movie world.
As a kid she was offered to play a role of Shannon Doherty in famous series “Beverly Hills-90210” but she rejected the offer mostly because of her laziness. However, producers picked up on a beautiful girl and when she grew up she was invited over to get shot in movies again. This time Alicia agreed and played several roles in television series. She pretty much liked it and decided to be an actress. The first success came to her after movie “The Crush” where she played a teenage killer. This role brought actress first MTV awards as “The Most Rapid Break-In” and “The Best Villain”. From that moment on she became famous.
Film producers and directors are vying for her part in their movies, she’s being shot in many movies but critics avoid her roles. Alicia often hears caustic remark like “frigid lesbian” or even worse. It goes quite easy: Alicia refuses to be shot in Playboy. She says she will never be able to do it which only raises aggression in employers. However, Alicia waited till that glorious moment to perform her talent on the screen. She was offered to be shot in music video of famous group Aerosmith and accepted the offer to get somehow distracted. However, she is skeptical about this kind of work which turned out to be idle. Alicia made the world talk about her and not only became a symbol of group but an idol of world youth.
Now Aerosmith can’t think of any ad without Alicia Silverstone; thus she was shot in the next two music videos of the group. Obviously her contribution is quite significant because the group hit all world music charts and the albums were sold in one moment. However she remained true to herself. She says she doesn’t want to be famous due to Aerosmith, though she had fun pulling on boots and playing a b*tchy girl. At the same time she was being shot in the movie “Clueless” and in 1996 in MTV Movie Awards ceremony gets her awards as “The Most Desirable Woman” and “The Best Female Character”.
In the second movie she showed up among the most famous and beautiful people of Hollywood. She plays Batman’s (George Clooney) girlfriend. The movie stars Chris O’Donnell, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Uma Thurman, El McPherson and other celebrities.
Thus, in her 20-s Alicia Silverstone became a true Hollywood star. Right now she negotiates three-years contract of ten million dollars with Columbia Pictures and began shooting in two movies – “Excess Baggage” and “Batman and Robin” by Joe Schumacher. The first movie is about a young girl who decided to kidnap herself by locking in a trunk but being stolen by a real robber. We will be waiting for her new appearance on TV.
