For once I'll forget about my broken heart.
For today is new, it's a brand new start.
I put on a smile, and opened up my eyes.
Telling myself I'm fine, believing my own lies.
Walk out the door on this beautiful day,
What's left of this, is what I've got to say.
I'm going to put my tears on the top shelf for a while.
Remove my frown, and replace it with a smile.
Go out with friends, stay out late, having too much fun.
Go to the beach on the days that are filled with sun.
I want you to be happy, I swear.
No matter how hard it is, no matter how unfair.
Maybe you'll miss me, or maybe you'll find someone new.
I don't think that you could ever forget all that we've been through.
Maybe, just maybe I'll find someone for me.
And he's exactly what I want, and makes me how I want to be.
No matter what happens down this curvy bumpy road.
I want you to remember, I want you to know.
Love doesn't happen to everyone, infact it's hard to find.
You never know with who, they say that love is blind.
I'll love you forever, but still go my own way.
I just move along, on this beautiful day.
