 | Jennifer Lopez was born July 24 in 1970 in South Bronx (USA) – black district of New York where her parents immigrated from Puerto-Rico. At the age of 15 Jennifer decided that she’s no longer interestedIn attending school and engaged with the coolest hottie of Bronx and enrolled in a ballet school of Manhattan. She began her career in show business as a dancer.
She was quick to grasp new movements in choreographic studio “Ballet Hispanico” and eventually became a professional dancer.
Very soon she was picked up and filmed in Living Color (1992) after which her agent advised her to start acting career. In 1991 Jennifer participated in contest help by XX Fox studio and beat all competitors. As a result she played roles in Anaconda, Money Train but real success came to her after “Selena” and “Out of Sight”. Since that moment- Jennifer is the first Latin-American actress making millions for pictures with her part.
Music and cinema cris crossed in her life: in 1997 in “Selene“ she played role of star singer she adored long with Barbara Streisand, Clara Santos, Celia Cruz and Rita Moreno. Already a star she began working on her debut album and it didn’t bring much ado to public. However, her wish to mix pop-music, national Latin-American motives, disco, rhythm-an-blues and rap sounded ridiculous to producers. But after the first audition and records they nicknamed them as Potential Hits.
She worked with Tommy Mottola, Rodney Jerkins, Mark Anthony, Puff Daddy but it was more than mere co-work. “We’re just colleagues”, insisted Lopez but later couldn’t help but admit the fact of her marriage with Puff Daddy.
Her marriage with Mexican Ojani Noah lasted 1 year because of the evident misalliance:
She’s a star and he’s a waiter. Perhaps later she was sorry about her split up with Daddy. Their relationship were different from those with Noah. There were no fights about who pays for who. Scandalous rapper seemed to share similar views on life, unbridled ambitions and lower class origin. However, explosive characters couldn’t cool down for a moment. One day she declared about marriage, the next day she would pack suitcases and leave.
She split up with Puff Daddy but couldn’t stand loneliness and found consolation in Chris Judd. But that relationship didn’t hold out that long. Judd’s passion for money and popularity was too evident.
But it didn’t stop Jennifer in search of a soul mate. She met Ben Affleck but they were not meant to be together – unsuccessful works in movies, constant public fighting. But fortune smiled at her and in 3 months she decided to make another attempt and married her old friend and singer Mark Anthony.
Her last biggest premier was “Shall We Dance” with Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon in the main cast.
Lopez owns a clothing line, JLO by Jennifer Lopez whose brand has been licensed for a term by Warnaco group. Her line includes different types of clothing for young women, including jeans, T-shirts, coats, belts, purses and lingerie. She is planning to launch a jewelry line, as well as an accessory line that includes hats, gloves and scarves.
Lopez has also enrolled in the perfume industry, with her debut "Glow by J.Lo" which broke numerous records in sales. In October of 2003, Lopez introduced a perfume called "Still." Before launching another new fragrance, she revisited 2002's "Glow" by creating a limited edition entitled "Miami Glow by J.Lo. For the Christmas season of 2005, she launched another fragrance, "Live by Jennifer Lopez." Most recently, for Valentine’s Day 2006, "Miami Glow" was replaced by yet another "Glow" sensation – "Love At First Glow by J.Lo." Her latest fragrance is called Live Luxe and will be released September 2006, with Glow at Dark following its release in December 2006.
