The heart grew on a tree like a flower
It swayed and rocked in the breeze
It survived through autumn and winter
Overcoming the obstacles with ease
It was until this flower met a boy
That like all flowers she blossomed
Her ripe beauty took his fancy
And the two grew very attached
But boys will be boys no matter what
And he lost interest in this beauty
Another flower stole his attention
And he left her dying slowly
He chewed her up and spat her out
Broken, lost and full of fears
She coughed up blood, choking
And drowned amongst her tears
And then she plummeted from the branch
Falling and hitting the ground, hard
The memories of all the love she'd felt
Fade out of every shard
Take patience dear heart of mine
For all wounds will mend in time
