 | Sitting on the beach with you, going down was the sun
That's when I started to realize you were the only one.
Staring across the open sea and seeing the island before us
I really thought the place I was at would never be enoughWe road threw the water on a blue motor boat
There was so much love there with us I was surprised we stayed afloat.
Smiling at you, you smiled back in a way you never had before
And when I saw you smile like that it made my heart soar.
Looking up you said to me, "this is just like in my dream."
I didn't know what to say to you so I smiled and looked out far to the land
Walking off the boat feeling the soft sand
You followed me as I walked up the island and took in the amazement of it being unknown
Finally you and me, on our own.
I named the island after you and held your hand all night
And after all that happened we never had another fight
You pulled me close and shared my warmth in the cold
I wanted to stay there till we were old.
It was a great moment I had with you
When are hearts started telling the truth.
As the sun went down, the sky turned orange and red
And I kept remembering what you said.
Was I your dream come true? So that means you love me like I love you!
We walked in the sand sharing our love
We knew that it was sent from up above
Looking at the birds and trees all over the new found place
Seeing the wonderful look on your face.
Climbing on the boat I didn't want to leave
I loved this place, that's what I believed.
We did leave after awhile
And as I walked you home we couldn't frown, only smile.
But I didn't need that place for you to love me
It was always there just hard to see...
Now we're together...I hope forever
And I want you to remember that island like you’ll remember me, and know matter what I want our love to always be, the kind of love we want it to be.
