One Enchanted Evening

One enchanted evening
He held me in his arms
He took me back to heaven
Safe from all harm
He looked into my eyes
And unlocked my very soul
When he touched my face and kissed me
I wanted to lose control

His lips touched mine
And I remembered when
We were just kids
But much more than just friends

For a moment there
I was lost in time
Lost in that moment
When he was mine

We walked down the halls
And I felt like a queen
I felt so special
Because he loved me

Our trips at lunch
We took in the woods
Came flooding back
From my memory book

Those were the days
Of love grown wild
He loved me so much
All I could do was smile

His love back then
Filled me with passion and ecstasy
Sharing our love together
Under those trees

Then the Kiss was over
And reality came
The love I felt
Brought me no shame

Now I’ll return
To the depths of his soul
Where he’ll keep me safe
And his heart will be my home

So to the boy
Who is now a man
I want to thank you
For holding my hand

You made me feel special
