A poem of defining moments

There are some moments
When you just know
they sum up everything
like when we sat outside Replay
in the dark
And I was too upset to cry
But I still needed your shoulder
You didn't have to say a word
(Even though you did)
It wasn't what you had to say
It was that you were there
And from that moment I knew
You would never go too far
Because from that moment
I knew
You were the only shoulder
I wanted to be able to not cry on

And then that time
we 'crossed THE line'
(it was blurry anyway)
To be quite honest
I don't really need to say anymore
Except
That
lines
are made
to be
crossed

How about when
you shout at me
and I just shout louder?
Because neither of us will agree?
We are quite equally matched,
Aren't we-
you and me?

So please continue shouting
and please let me shout back.
Please let your shoulder always be my hiding place,
from everything
and everyone.
Please let there be more lines to cross.
And let there be many more moments
which can define
you
and
me.
