I Believe In You!

Sitting here alone
Holding back my tears
Looking at black shadows
Remembering my fearsI try to think of what you said
That God was always with me
But even when I try to pray it's really hard to see
I look up towards the heavens and take a deep hard breath
Thinking if you want me to live
Or if you're saying it's time for death

More tears run down my face
I just want to feel safe
I kneel down on the ground
And pray and pray again
I see them walking towards me
As I finish with Amen

I open my eyes here I am
Sitting in the corner where I began
I look around it's getting light
What’s happened to them
What happened to the fight

I was about to die
But you heard my cry
You came down from heaven
without a sign
You helped me when my life was on the line

They never came back to hurt me
They never came back to kill me
Because of your help lord now I'm free!

When I stopped believing
You didn't walk away
When I turned you down you never went away

I turned my back and didn't believe
But you saved my life in my time of need
I prayed so hard that final night
When the shadows gave me a horrible fright
You came down from heaven to help me out
Even when I started to ought

I was about to turn away forever
But you still wouldn't
not now... Not ever!

From that day on I truly believed
Even when I felt it was over
You'd never deceive me

I'll never lose faith again
Because you are mine and I am yours
And every time I pray to you
I believe more and more.
