I See a Girl

When I look in the mirror who do I see
I see a girl
lost in a sea of her own cold tears
that she cries and cries when she hears her worst fearsI see a girl
who tries harder to please those around her
then she does to please herself

I see a girl
Whose heart is cold
for she lost her dad

I see a girl
Whose grandma hates her because she’s not picture perfect in every way shape or form
and doesn't like her mom

I see a girl
who gets picked on
over little flaws and habits
Then goes home with a smile on her face to hide it

I see a girl
who’s filled with pain
yet she still smiles and hides it

I see a girl
who tears and chills
While she smiles and cheers

I see me
A girl different from everyone else
yet tries to hide it
I girl yet to have found her place
This I am and nothing more.
