Who knew

Who knew what those moments would bring?
"As I sit here and ponder what the future would hold?
My heart and my head ask me questions that keep
repeating like a telephone ring.
Was our love affair only a momentary fling
or only a sad song we were destined to sing?
Who knew what those moments would bring?

Was our romance doomed from the start?
Did we act stupid or smart?
Should we have thought with our heads or
follow our hearts?
We could have captured the magic right from the
start, but all we accomplished was break two hearts.
Who knew what those moments would bring?

Had we known the tune of the lyrics we would sing,
you would still be my queen and I your king.
But, who knew what those moments would bring?"

I can relate to this poem. You'll never really know the answers to those moments. Don't beat yourself up it's self destructive. We are humans and we make mistakes the key is not to let it happen again. We can't help who we love you can still love this person but not in the way you'd probably like. It's okay sometimes we have to sacrafice love to do what is right-that's true love. Good luck and feel free to e-mail me I have alot of insight o matters of the heart.

I think it's a really beautiful poem. Heartaches of men are always followed by the question, "If only.."

Indeed your words are rightfully true. Indeed you portrayed them very rightfully so. So sad and difficult it is to find yourself in that position. How much more challenging it is to let go of that one person, knowing yet not knowing what those moments would have and eventually did bring. I would know.
If it would only be possible to let him know that.
Thank you for the intriguing read.
