Broken Promises

Pictures or you rush through my head
I wonder why you left
Please tell me is this my fault
Or are you just that cold hearted
Maybe that is the way you truly are
Because it may have took me a lifetime
But now I see the side of you
That I have never even began to imagine

As I press the phone to my ear
My eyes begin to rain with joy
I truly believe your coming this time
Two years of waiting and my life seems clear

I realize your not coming
Just like anyone else once you leave it’s the end
Memories of you scar my mind
The light is finally beginning to shine through

Now I know promises are meant to be broken
And goodbyes really are forever
Now the only thing left to do is sit back and let the memories catch the tears
Because this letter reads goodbye.

yes..thats true..promises are ment to be broken...thats why i hate promises and never believe anyone when they promise anything.
